The Williams-Mitchell farm which is on the National Register of Historic Places was managed by Martha Caledonia Williams from 1906 until her death in 1926. Her daughters were also enterprising women, experimenting with new crops and ornamentals on the farm. Amy Williams was a member of the Women's Carroll County Council around 1924. She became a nurse in Villa Rica Georgia. Another daughter, Eunice Inez Williams Mitchell, earned a college degree at the Georgia State College for women, now Georgia College and State University.
