Edith Nourse Rogers graduated from the Rogers Hall School in Lowell. She would go on to represent Lowell in the United States Congress for 35 consecutive years, the first woman from New England to fill that role. Rogers made history by petitioning for women's equality in the military and establishing the Women's Army Corps.
