My wife and I decided our honeymoon would be a cross-country road trip, from our home in New York to California and back. We knew we wanted to spend some time driving down historic Route 66, and we shared as such while on a wine tour in Sonoma, CA. Someone on the tour mentioned we should check out a place called Bearizona, a wildlife preserve right on Route 66. We completely forgot the suggestion until we were driving through Williams, Arizona and drove right by the entrance! We immediately pulled over and spent the afternoon marveling as we drove past bears, wolves, bison, big horn sheep, and more.
